CITY OF WINDSOR DOING GREAT PR JOB!

RED BULL AIR RACE GMBH OFFICIALS PRAISE CITY OFFICIALS FOR FRUITFUL DISCUSSIONS AND INTEREST FOR A 2009 PARTNERSHIP

Red Bull Air Race GmbH officials had previously indicated to Windsor that the Red Bull Air Race 2009 schedule would be finalized by late July early August. "Windsor's presence in London is a reflection of their commitment and interest in the success of the Red Bull Air Race and the World Series", stated Stefan Lehrmayer, Director Red Bull Air Race GmbH.

"Prior to our meetings in London and despite our 2008 event in Detroit, the probability of our return to Detroit for 2009 was unlikely, however, Mayor Francis and his team have made a very compelling and passionate appeal that has proven to be a turning point in our considerations", said Stefan Lehrmayer of Red Bull Air Race GmbH.

"Red Bull Air Race proved to be a positive experience for our region in 2008 which generated an economic boost to our local hospitality industry and helped to promote our region to the world. I am grateful to Red Bull Air Race Gmbh for their continued support and their belief in our abilities to provide a unique and memorable experience for their world series" said Mayor Eddie Francis.

"Having witnessed first-hand the significance of Red Bull Air Race, and the impact it has on a community, I without question, appreciate its importance as a catalyst to build our tourism sector by way of an economic impact and the media exposure derived - which is priceless. Bringing this world series event back to Windsor-Detroit was and continues to be our primary objective", stated Gordon Orr, Managing Director, Convention & Visitors Bureau.

"The face-to-face meeting proved fruitful and the Red Bull officials will be meeting with Windsor over the next several weeks to plan and detail the operational requisites needed for our return", said Stefan Lehrmayer of Red Bull Air Race GmbH.
