BASF Painting Smiles on Seniors Faces

BASF Painting Smiles on Seniors Faces

The Centre for Seniors will receive a facelift due to the generous employees of BASF Canada. BASF staff have volunteered to paint the main areas and halls of the centre during BASF Canada’s ‘Day of Caring’.

The Centre for Seniors is a non-profit, multi-service organization and registered charity, that provides social, recreational, educational, volunteer and service opportunities for older adults, 50 years and better.

BASF is a world leading chemical company that has been in business for over 140 years.
BASF serves customers and partners in almost all countries of the world including Canada. One of its Canadian sites is located in Windsor, Ontario, which began operation in 1985.

Day of Caring is a program developed by United Way of America in 1987 to promote corporate volunteering. The Day of Caring program brings community-based organizations together with local businesses, corporations, unions, and other groups to work on one-day projects that benefit the entire community.

Day of Caring is a great morale booster, a unique opportunity for employees in a workplace to come together, develop team-building skills and make a difference in the community by taking part in meaningful work projects at local agencies. It is also an opportunity for agencies to make a connection with businesses throughout the community. They can directly communicate the needs of the community while receiving a helping hand in completing much-needed projects.
