“With many months of planning
and preparation behind us, we’re ready to rock”,
Neil Bear, Chair of Art In The Park 2015, said. And with a near-record 275
exhibitors, we can’t wait to get on with the show. It’s absolutely going to be
one of our biggest and best events ever”.

For the fourth consecutive year,
Art

the park on Friday evening. The fun
begins at 5 p.m. in Art
In The Park’s epicenter, the Spirit
Tent. Admission is a reasonable $10 per person. Music Line up features 80’s Inc and British Beat

Thousands of visitors are
expected to visit the park during this eagerly-anticipated, two-day public arts
extravaganza. A real family affair, Art In The Park offers a whole lot
more than just beautiful paintings and other irresistible hand crafted art
objects. Over the years, show organizers have expanded and enhanced the show’s
content to appeal to all ages and interests. Significant enhancements in
Willistead Park will make it easier for visitors to tour the spacious grounds.
A new asphalt-paved perimeter walkway will make it much easier for those in
wheelchairs, and toddlers in strollers, to leisurely take in the Art
In The Park exhibits.
Free Shuttle Service – Art In The
Park’s sponsor -- the Rotary Club of Windsor (1918) – is again
partnering with G & L Stevenson Transit to provide a complimentary shuttle
service to and from Willistead Park during the show. The two satellite parking
lots are at the Hiram Walker & Sons employee parking lot on Riverside Drive
East at Montreuil St. and the Windsor Regional Hospital parking lot on Kildrare
Rd. two blocks north of Tecumseh Rd. E. The
free shuttles will operate from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday and from
10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Bring your Bike – A new
feature this year, Bike Friendly
Windsor is providing a secure bike
valet just inside Willistead’s main gate on Niagara St. during Art
In The Park hours on Saturday and Sunday. So why not ride your bike to Art
In The Park – but don’t forget to bring a backpack to take your treasures
home with you.
All proceeds from Art
In The Park directly support important local children’s charities such
as the John McGivney Centre for Children and Maryvale Adolescent and Family
Services. A portion of the show’s proceeds also go toward the continuing
restoration of Willistead Manor. Over the past 30 years Art In The Park has
raised more than $1.3 million for the restoration of Willistead Manor and its
gracious grounds.
