Easter Seals Ontario launched the 2014 Easter Seals Paper
Eggs Campaign today with retailers throughout Windsor-Essex. This fundraising
initiative helps support children with physical disabilities by selling Paper
Eggs for $2 each. The campaign will run from March 28 until April 20, 2014.
Easter Seals is honoured to have the continued support for the
2014 campaign from many local retailers including Booster Juice, Sobey’s, TSC,
The Bargain! Shop and Freshco. Customers will be invited to purchase a Paper Egg
for $2 and write their name or that of a loved one on the paper egg, to be
displayed in-store for the duration of the campaign.
“The
Easter Seals Paper Eggs Campaign is an easy way to show your support for
children with physical disabilities. Every $2 a shopper donates will help a
child get the essential equipment they need,” says David Lenz, Senior
Development Officer, Easter Seals Ontario. “We’re looking forward to another
successful year of the Paper Egg Campaign and wish to thank
participating retailers for their support.”
Since 2000, the Paper Egg Campaign for Easter
Seals Kids has raised over $6.2 million dollars across Ontario and in 2013,
more than 1,110 retail stores across Ontario participated in the campaign.
Since 1922, Easter Seals Ontario has provided families of children with
physical disabilities with financial assistance for expensive mobility
equipment and communication devices such as walkers, braces, and wheelchairs,
fully accessible Easter Seals camps, and funding for alternative recreational
programs. For more information or to donate, visit easterseals.org.
