Windsor – On Monday, February 14, 2011, an initiative to provide pro bono legal services was launched through the generous donation of a local lawyer. Services are now available to assist individuals experiencing low-income with the creation of their Last Will and Testament and Power of Attorney.
United Way/Centraide Windsor Essex County, along with its community partners, Citizen Advocacy, Canadian Mental Health Association, Drouillard Place, Community University Partnership, and students from the University of Windsor, Faculty of Law, will work together to deliver these needed services under the supervision of a local barrister and solicitor.
Individuals who meet eligibility requirements will receive this assistance free of charge. This initiative will ensure that individuals who cannot afford to pay for this type of service will have access to Last Will and Testaments and Powers of Attorney.
For more information please contact United Way at (519) 258-0000.

If you own a small business, or you expect to give certain amounts of money or assets to your heirs - it's important that you consult a will attorney to address these issues.
