Attention Business Owners, Enter FASTSIGNS Contest Until June 28, 2013 & Win Big!

FASTSIGNS® Giving Away Three Visual Communications Makeovers

Businesses or organizations can win one of three visual communication transformations,
with a combined value of up to $20,000

(WINDSOR, Ontario) June 11, 2013—FASTSIGNS® of Windsor is hosting its fifth signs and graphics makeover with the MetamorphoSIGN program, an online contest that provides businesses and organizations with an opportunity to win one of three visual communications makeovers.

“Businesses and organizations are a dynamic collaboration of people, products and ideas, and we want to help our three winners communicate that with our comprehensive marketing solutions,” said Donna Bilodeau, who co-owns the Windsor FASTSIGNS with her friend, Jackie Raymond. “Our visual communications makeovers include signs, graphics, displays and mobile marketing solutions—all customized to fit their specific goals.”

Every year, a business from Essex County has won a makeover in at least one of the three contest categories. In 2012, The Workhorse Lifestyle, a fitness group in Windsor, won the vehicle-based MetamorphoSIGN makeover, and in 2011, Windsor’s L’atelier du Chocolat won the $10,000 makeover. Other area businesses that have won makeovers in the past include Impact Staffing and the Wrap Shack.

Winners of the 2013 FASTSIGNS MetamorphoSIGN contest will be chosen by online votes:

  • One makeover of up to $10,000 will be awarded to a traditional brick and mortar business.
  • One makeover of up to $5,000 will be awarded to a nonprofit organization.
  • One makeover of up to $5,000 will be awarded to a vehicle-based business.

Businesses and organizations can go to www.metamorphosign.com to upload a “before” photo and explain in 250 words or less why they need a transformation. The makeover entry submission period ends June 28. Entries will be voted on from July 8 to July 26; the entry in each category that receives the most votes will be the winner and will be announced on August 15.

“As an added bonus, we are also offering a $1,500 makeover to the runner-up business with the most votes from Essex County,” said Raymond. “We love giving back to the community and this way, businesses or organizations in our area have an additional opportunity to win a visual communications makeover.”

Zumba For A Great Cause --May 9, 2013

“Train a Nurse in Ghana” Fundraiser

Get Fit & Support a Great Cause

Thursday, May 9, 2013

The Windsor-Essex Chapter of the Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario (RNAO) have organized a fitness fundraiser to support the education of a nursing student in Ghana, Africa.  This Zumba® Fitness class will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2013 from 6:30pm to 8 pm at the WFCU Centre’s Sports Gym.

Inspired by the ongoing humanitarian work in Ghana by the Rotary Club of Windsor (1918), the executive of RNAO Windsor-Essex Chapter felt that this was a worthwhile initiative to support the nursing profession in a developing country. The $3,600 they hope to raise will provide a full 3-year scholarship to train one nurse who will be able to provide direct care to patients and individuals in a rural, resource poor area where one doctor serves 85,000 people.

The public are invited to join in the fun by participating in the Zumba® Fitness class themselves or by sponsoring a friend or colleague who is. All pledges are welcome and receipts for donations greater than $20 will be issued through the Rotary Club of Windsor Foundation.  Pledges can be made in person at the event, by email to info@rotary1918.com or by calling 519-253-6382.
